Fuji Xerox's first gold and silver dry ink characteristics

At the recent All-India exhibition, which concluded this month, Fuji Xerox introduced a cost-effective solution to Chinese customers—gold and silver dry toner. This marked the first time Fuji Xerox showcased this innovative application in the region. Luo Xiaomeng, General Manager of the Production System Division at Fuji Xerox (China) Co., Ltd., provided detailed insights into the features of this toner and how it could reshape the future for Chinese clients.

Gold and silver dry toner represents a new innovation from Fuji Xerox. After thorough preparation, it has been successfully integrated into two of their high-end color digital printing machines—the C1000 and C800 models. These machines offer advanced five-color printing capabilities right out of the box. To date, Fuji Xerox has launched four specialized colors: transparent, custom red, gold, and silver. Each color can be used individually, allowing for flexible and precise printing applications.

The custom red is particularly useful for government documents, such as official seals and red-headed letters, making it ideal for administrative use. Gold and silver tones are often used for decorative or premium effects, enhancing the visual appeal of printed materials. Transparent color, on the other hand, is commonly used in traditional offset printing but now finds a new role in digital printing. As the integration between digital and traditional printing continues to evolve, the need for diverse color options becomes increasingly important. These new toners allow for effects that were previously unachievable with digital printing alone, opening up new possibilities for businesses and designers alike. With this latest development, Fuji Xerox is not only expanding its product offerings but also pushing the boundaries of what digital printing can achieve.
