Clariant innovative active packaging technology to avoid moisture and oxidation of drugs

Clariant ADP (New Desiccant Polymer) technology combines the advantages of traditional thermoplastic polymers with advanced moisture protection. Using the advantages of ADP technology, HAT products can directly insert desiccant into plastic and create a dry packaging environment by absorbing excess moisture.

Clariant's EQ series meets all relevant requirements of the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for food and drug contact. According to the specific conditions of application, such products are available in both bagged and canned packages.

Clariant's EQ-PAK and EQ-CAN cans are specially designed adsorbents that can be used both as a humectant (desorption) and a desiccant (adsorption) to maintain the internal environment of the product package at a specific equilibrium relative humidity. (ERH). Maintaining a constant humidity environment is sometimes crucial for the effective storage of special drugs.

Customers can choose to adopt ADP to mold the existing work equipment components, and add moisture absorption function based on the original functions of the components, thus saving space and cost.
