Analysis and Solution of Sixteen Toner Cartridge Problems

Because the faults that take you many times are not caused by the printer, but only appear in the category of toner cartridges, I collected some questions about the printing of toner cartridges during this time, and I have compiled them for you to share. The place also hopes that you master give teaching. The following defect analysis is only for the toner cartridge, some defects are related to the machine, and those are omitted.

1. The seal cannot be pulled out: it is generally caused by poor assembly, and the toner is clamped in the seal position or folded part of the seal.

2. Powder leakage: In addition to the leakage of powder before printing due to poor seal sealing, multiple parts or parts in the powder box will cause powder leakage during use, the magnetic roller sealing felt is defective, the powder knife is aging, the magnetic roller sealing blade is deformed and Insufficient adhesion, defective or aging sealing sponge, deformation of the cleaning blade and inadequate adhesion will cause powder leakage.

3. The full white version or light and blurry can be produced without printing

a, the seal is not pulled
b. The powder box shakes before pulling the seal, and the powder is not smooth.

c. The laser does not shine on the drum, the light shield of the powder container is not opened, and the drum protective cover is not opened.

d. The grounding of the drum is poor, and the electrical contact points on the conductive sheet or powder box in the drum are connected poorly.

4. All black prints are usually a problem of electricity

a. Missing charging roller or poor assembly.

b. The charging roller conductive bracket is deformed or has poor contact.

5. Vertical black line: refers to any unwanted vertical line from top to bottom, which may be composed of thick or thin lines, continuous or intermittent. The thin, light-colored vertical lines are generally caused by a gap in the cleaning blade or a circle of scratches on the drum. A thick and intermittent black line with unclear edges, often caused by wrinkling of the sealing blade or aging of the powdering knife.

6. Vertical line on the black plate and white line: caused by the deep wear line of the photosensitive drum, impurities on the magnet roller or wear line of the magnet roller coating.

7. Horizontal missed printing: it means that the horizontal intermittent printing on the printed product can not be printed, the reasons:

a. Partial exposure of drum coating;

b. Drum drive gear defects, looseness or tooth defects;

c. Defects in the coating of the magnetic roller sleeve;

d. The magnetic core is broken or the positioning is wrong;

e. The magnetic roller sheath is severely worn or deformed;

f. Poor contact or bounce of the magnetic roller conductive spring.

8. Horizontal black line: It is generally a problem of electricity. Periodic horizontal black line is often caused by defects in the charging roller coating and pinholes on the drum coating. Irregular horizontal thin black lines are often caused by the inadequate combination of powder silo or waste powder silo.

9. Periodic handwriting is blurred: often caused by contamination of the drum or charging roller coating, watermarks, oilmarks, and fingerprints often cause this defect.

10. Grape bunch: It is a kind of defect that appears on the printed products like coins, which is irregular and difficult to repeat. It is caused by poor grounding of the drum. [next]

11. Background Scattering: Refers to the presence of undesirable small black spots around text or lines, caused by poor magnetic roller coating or toner. Overheating of the photosensitive drum (high sensitivity) can also cause this defect.

12. Grain background (tiger spot): appear in black wavy shape on the white version or in white form on the black version or half-tone tone layout. It is usually caused by defects in the coating of the magnetic roller sleeve or due to long-term low-density printing, and the magnetic powder sticks to the magnetic roller sleeve.

13. Hollow characters: refers to the lack of strokes on the text or images, the reasons:

a. Toner itself.

b. Poor toner coordination.

c. The magnetic roller coating problem.

d. The surface of the printing medium is too bright and too hard.

e. The paper uses the reverse side.

14. Irregular vertical black spots:

a. The waste powder caused by the deformation of the sealing blade is scattered.

b. Due to excessive accumulation of toner on the magnet roller, powder leakage is caused.

15. Light color: related to many factors:

a. Toner itself

b. The problem of toner powder and magnetic roller coordination.

c. Aging knife
d. Magnetic roller wear
e, drum life
f. High ambient humidity or medium moisture absorption.

16. Bottom ash: Bottom ash refers to the foggy toner that appears in the blank area of the printed product, and is also related to a variety of factors:

a. Scraper aging
b. The charging roller is dirty
c. Toner problem
d. Drum fatigue, reaching life
e. Low temperature and dry environment
f. Print media
