Constant temperature shaker instruction manual
Before starting the operation, secure the sample onto the tray holder. Connect the power cables to the machine’s power socket and turn on the power switch. Once the indicator light (often labeled as “ONâ€) is illuminated, it confirms that the machine is powered on. The timer will then be activated, allowing you to set the desired working time according to the instructions provided in the timer manual. At the same time, the temperature-controlled heating section will also start operating. A red light indicates that the system is heating, while a green light means the heating has stopped. The numerical display shows the current temperature inside the working chamber, and the 0–99.9 setting allows you to choose the target temperature. If you need to maintain a specific temperature range, simply set the desired value accordingly.
To initiate shaking, press the oscillation control button. You can adjust the shaking speed between 0 and 300 rpm depending on your experimental requirements. This ensures optimal mixing or incubation conditions for your samples.
Setting the Temperature:
Turn on the temperature control unit and press the “SET†button to enter the temperature adjustment mode. The digital display will begin flashing, indicating that the system is ready for settings. Use the “△†key to increase the temperature and the “▽†key to decrease it. Holding either key allows for faster adjustments. Once the desired temperature is set, press the “SET†button again to return to normal operation. (Note: For intelligent temperature controllers, refer to the dedicated temperature control manual for detailed instructions.)
Adjusting the Speed:
Power on the speed control system and use the inverter to start the shaking process. Press the “RUN†button on the panel and gradually adjust the potentiometer to reach the desired shaking speed. If the operation needs to be paused, press the “STOP†button. To resume, simply press “RUN†again. Adjust the potentiometer as needed to change the shaking speed during the experiment.
Important Usage Notes:
Ensure the power supply is properly grounded and avoid disassembling any electrical components unless you are a qualified technician. If the shake flask becomes damaged during an experiment, clean it immediately to prevent contamination or corrosion from the liquid inside. Do not move the constant temperature shaker while it is in operation, as this may affect the stability of the process.
If the instrument remains in “cooling†mode for an extended period, it should be periodically heated to prevent moisture buildup. Every 15 days, reset the temperature to 40°C, open the door, and let the system run in “heating†mode for at least 4 hours. This helps remove internal moisture and maintains the equipment's performance. During long periods of non-use, especially in humid seasons, it is recommended to power on the device for 5–8 hours periodically to prevent moisture damage to internal components.
