Introduction

   Production Process

The aluminum plating process of plastic film generally adopts the direct plating method, that is, the aluminum layer is directly plated on the surface of the substrate film. BOPET and BOPA film substrates do not need surface treatment before aluminum plating, and can be directly evaporated. For non-polar plastic films such as BOPP, CPP, PE, etc., the surface of the film needs to be corona treated or coated with an adhesive layer to make the surface tension reach 38-42 dynes / cm or have good adhesion . During vapor deposition, place the roll film in the vacuum chamber and close the vacuum chamber to evacuate. When the vacuum reaches a certain level (above 4 × 10-4mba), the evaporation boat is heated to 1300 ℃ ~ 1400 ℃, and then the aluminum wire with a purity of 99.9% is continuously sent to the evaporation boat. Adjust the unwinding speed, winding speed, wire feed speed and evaporation amount, and turn on the cooling source to make the aluminum wire continuously melt and evaporate on the evaporation boat, so that a bright aluminum layer is formed after the moving film surface is cooled.    The principle of vacuum evaporation

Install the coated substrate (cylinder) in a vacuum evaporation machine, evacuate it with a vacuum pump to make the vacuum degree in the coating reach 1.3 × 10-2 ~ 1.3 × 10-3Pa, heat the crucible to make high-purity aluminum wire It melts and evaporates into gaseous aluminum at a temperature of 1200 ° C to 1400 ° C. Gaseous aluminum particles are deposited on the surface of the moving film substrate and cooled and reduced to form a continuous and bright metal aluminum layer. By controlling the evaporation rate of metal aluminum The thickness of the aluminum coating layer is controlled by the moving speed of the film substrate and the vacuum degree of the coating chamber. The thickness of the aluminum coating layer is generally 25 to 500 nm, and the width of the aluminum coating film is 800 mm to 2000 mm.

Vapor deposition method: There are two methods of vapor deposition aluminum on the surface of the substrate: direct vapor deposition method and transfer method.

   1. Direct evaporation method.

The base material to be plated is directly deposited on the surface of the base material by a vacuum coating machine to form an aluminum plated film. The direct vapor deposition method has high requirements on the substrate, especially to form a bright surface metal film, the substrate must be required to have a good surface smoothness. If the surface of the paper is rough, the direct vapor deposition method should be used, and the surface must be coated before aluminum plating. In addition, the substrate has less volatiles during the evaporation process. Therefore, the direct vapor deposition method has great limitations on the substrate. It is mainly suitable for vapor deposition of plastic films and can also be used for the vapor deposition of paper, but the quality of paper is high, and there is a certain limit to the quantitative basis of paper.

   2. Transfer method.

The aluminum film is formed by transferring the metal aluminum layer to the surface of the substrate by means of a carrier film (vacuum aluminum film). The transfer method is a new process developed on the basis of the direct vapor deposition method. It overcomes the limitations of the direct vapor deposition method on the substrate, and is particularly suitable for aluminum plating on various papers and paperboards. It can also be used in plastics. Aluminum plating of the film. The transfer method has been applied to aluminum-plated products such as cloth, fiber, leather, etc. abroad. China mainly uses the transfer method to produce aluminized paper.

Production process of aluminized film:

Performance characteristics

( 1) The amount of aluminum used is greatly reduced, energy and materials are saved, and the cost is reduced. The thickness of the aluminum foil for composite is mostly 7-9 μm, and the thickness of the aluminum layer of the aluminum-plated film is about 0.05n, and the aluminum consumption is about 1/140 ~ 1/180 of aluminum foil, and the production speed can be as high as 450m / min.

( 2) It has excellent folding resistance and good toughness, and there are few pinholes and cracks, and there is no cracking phenomenon. Therefore, the barrier to gas, water vapor, odor, light, etc. is improved.

( 3) It has excellent metallic luster, and the light reflectance can reach 97%; and it can form a color film through coating treatment, and its decoration effect is unmatched by aluminum foil.

( 4) The shielding type can be used for partial aluminum plating to obtain any pattern or transparent window, and the contents can be seen.

( 5) The aluminized layer has good conductivity and can eliminate static effect; its sealing performance is good, especially when packaging powder products, it will not contaminate the sealing part and ensure the sealing performance of the packaging.

( 6) It has good adaptability to post-processing such as printing and compounding.

Due to the above characteristics, the aluminum-plated film has become a new type of composite film with excellent performance and economic beauty, which has replaced the aluminum foil composite material in many aspects. It is mainly used for the vacuum packaging of flavored food and agricultural products, as well as the packaging of medicines, cosmetics and cigarettes. In addition, aluminum-plated films are also widely used as bronzing materials and trademark label materials in printing.

 

   application

At present, the most widely used aluminum coating films are polyester aluminum coating ( VMPET) and CPP aluminum coating (VMCPP). The role of aluminum plating on the surface of the film is shading and anti-ultraviolet radiation, which not only extends the shelf life of the content, but also improves the brightness of the film.
