The revitalization of The Raleigh by SHVO promises to honor its storied past while bringing it into the modern era. Architect Peter Marino has been chosen to lead the restoration, ensuring that the property's Art Deco charm remains intact while introducing contemporary elegance. This project is more than just a hotel—it’s a celebration of Miami’s rich cultural heritage.
Originally built in the 1940s by architect Lawrence Murray Dixon, The Raleigh will be expanded with the addition of the Richmond and South Seas Hotels. These historic buildings will undergo meticulous restoration, preserving their original Art Deco facades. The new tower adjacent to The Raleigh will house the luxurious Rosewood Residences Miami Beach, each offering stunning ocean views and exclusive amenities.
The revival includes a careful restoration of the iconic swimming pool known for its curvaceous design and lush tropical foliage. The Martini Bar and Tiger Room, two of the hotel’s most famous gathering spots, will also be brought back to life with a blend of historical Art Deco elegance and modern sophistication. Additionally, the hotel will feature Asaya, Rosewood’s innovative wellness concept, offering guests a holistic retreat.
The tower’s exterior features white columns and black mullions that create a sense of rhythm and movement, complemented by large windows that offer abundant natural light and panoramic ocean views. Inside, the interiors boast a calm material palette including artisan plasters, hand-painted millwork, and noble stones, all designed to evoke a serene and elegant atmosphere. Residents can enjoy the vibrant South Beach nightlife or explore the iconic Art Deco district on foot, or simply relax at the beach club and fitness center.
