First, the number of screen lines of the anilox roller is determined based on the ink transfer amount (BCM). In general, an anilox roller with a high number of screens should be selected under the premise of meeting the requirements for the amount of ink delivered by the product. Such as printing corrugated cardboard, due to its rough material, the required amount of ink, and more use of 180 lines / inch or so anilox roller; and in the cigarette pack printing, the field printing using 440 lines / inch or so anilox roller, This will not only meet the demand for ink transfer, but also give the printed matter a higher level of clarity. In practice, it is best to contact the anilox roller manufacturer to get the best match between the number of screens and the amount of ink transferred.

Second, determine the number of anilox roller screens based on the number of screen printing screens. Under normal circumstances, the ratio of the number of screen lines of the anilox roller to the number of screen printing screens is 4:1. Today, this ratio has increased to 6:1-7:1. For example, the number of screens for a printing plate is 100 lines per inch, and the number of screen lines for anilox rollers can be selected to be 400 lines per inch or more. In addition, according to the characteristics of prints, combined with practical experience to determine the number of anilox roller screen. For example, the number of screens used in the production of printing plates is 133 lines/inch. According to work experience, text and line printing generally use 500-600 lines/inch anilox roller. If you need to deepen the color, you can use 440 lines/ Inch anilox roll; halftone printing uses more than 700 lines / inch anilox roll, when the mesh tone image and text in a plate, using 500-600 lines / inch anilox roller; Field printing with an anilox roller no larger than 440 lines/inch; waterborne coating with an anilox roller above 600 lines/inch; UV coating with an anilox roller above 700 threads/inch: the first color using 600 - 800 lines/inch anilox roller.
