Solution to the problem of inaccurate registration of jigsaw stamping patterns

The so-called hot stamping pattern alignment overprinting is the process of stamping the anodized aluminum pattern on the surface of the paper before overprinting the pattern on it. During the implementation of this process, the problem of misalignment between the printed pattern and the hot stamping position often occurs. Analyze from the following aspects.

1. Paper stretch control

Paper stretching is the most frequent and difficult to control factor in the printing process. In the printing process, it is impossible to completely prevent paper expansion and contraction, but it is possible to control the expansion and contraction value within a relatively stable range. How to control the expansion and contraction of the paper is the basis of the hot stamping pattern registration process. The stability of newly-entered paper is generally quite poor, for the following reasons.

(1) The inside of the paper is still in a quite unstable state (such as the amount of water content), and it must be left for a period of time to reach a stable state.

(2) Changes in environmental temperature and humidity during transportation will also cause changes in the dimensional stability of the paper.

Therefore, for the newly-entered paper, it should be stored in the printing workshop for 2 to 3 weeks after opening, so that it can be expanded and deformed to a stable state in the production environment.

2. Control of hot stamping process

Pattern positioning hot stamping is the key to this technology. It is necessary to use scientific process schemes and statistical principles to improve this process, and try to eliminate the problems in the bud. The following schemes can be used for control during hot stamping.

(1) Film positioning method. In the hot stamping process, the film is used for hot stamping, that is, the film is used to check the position of the hot pattern to ensure that the position of the pattern on the paper is accurate. In the process of adopting this method, the ruled line must be pressed out at the middle edge of the paper to facilitate hot stamping ruled line stability inspection and post-processing inspection.

(2) Contour positioning method. The outline of the pattern to be hot stamped (the size of which can be slightly improved) is first printed with light-colored outlines using printing equipment, and then hot stamped against the printed outline. This method is helpful for the machine personnel to detect whether the hot stamping position is accurate in time.

(3) Special attention is required to ensure the consistency of the two rules (front and side rules) in the hot stamping process, otherwise the consequences will be unimaginable.
