It is used to measure the pressure test of concrete and rock or the pressure test of other large samples. Can be shared with 3542RA axial extensometer at the same time.
The circumferential extensometer measures the circumferential change when the sample is compressed. Many researchers believe that this method is a more accurate method of determining radial strain.
It is suitable for use in containers and can work in oil at a temperature of 200 ° C and a pressure of 1350 bar.
The extensometer is mounted on the sample using a special high-precision roller chain. During the test, the diameter of the sample is enlarged, and the roller chain will expand the extensometer. The extensometer is self-held on the sample by means of a spring, and the roller chain can adjust the length according to the size of the sample. The mechanical adjustment method can be used to set the output value to zero. When the sample is broken, the safety separation device can protect the extensometer from damage.
Triaxial pressure sensors are usually used for testing rock samples. We also provide extensometers for use in containers and in oil environments, with pressures up to 1360 bar and temperatures up to 200 ° C. The extensometer can also be designed to fit a small inner diameter container.
For large radial strain measurement of large specimens, the 3544 extensometer is the best choice. For small strain measurements, the Model 3975 Extensometer is recommended.
