※Hose processing and printing
As the name suggests, the raw material of plastic hose is plastic, more specifically, mainly polyethylene material. According to the structure, the packaging hoses can be divided into single-layered tubes, multi-layered tubes and composite tubes of various raw materials. Single-layer hoses include metal hoses and plastic extrusion hoses; multilayer hoses include aluminum-plastic composite hoses, plastic composite hoses, and plastic coextruded hoses. According to the classification of processing technology, hoses can be divided into seamless tubes and seamed tubes. Seamless tubes include cold stamping, roll forming, and extrusion molding; seamed tubes include high frequency welding, ultrasonic welding, heat welding, and other forming methods. Among them, extrusion molding can process multi-layer or single-layer plastic hoses. At present, the advanced plastic hose production line in the world has the outstanding features of automatic color printing, glazing, drying, quick-pull tube, and injection head.
The manufacture of a hose is similar to a magnetic card and is one of "printing" and "making". Hose printing companies are also hose manufacturers. Printing is one of these processes. Hose printing is generally four-color printing, and some designs are only one or two colors, up to 16 colors. There are three main printing methods for hoses: offset printing, letterpress printing, and screen printing. Offsets account for the largest proportion, some of which are infrared drying and some are uv drying. Due to the thick ink layer and strong covering power, it is mainly used for printing hoses with a background color.
The most common current hose printing processes are: dust removal - surface pretreatment - printing (UV ink) - coating - varnish UV curing (or thermal curing).
