The planer is a planer used to plan small and medium-sized workpieces. The working length is generally not more than lm. The workpiece is clamped on an adjustable table or clamped in a flat-nose pliers on the table, and is machined by linear reciprocating motion (cutting motion) of the planer and intermittent movement (feeding motion) of the table.
According to the length of the workpiece that can be processed, the head planer can be divided into three types: large, medium and small: the small head planer can process workpieces up to 400mm in length, such as the B635-1 type head planer; the medium-sized planer can be processed to a length of 400~ 600mm workpieces, such as the B650 head planer; large head planers can process workpieces with a length of 400~1000mm, such as B665 and B69O head planers.

It is a planer used to plan large workpieces. Some planer can process workpieces with a length of tens of meters or even tens of meters. For example, the B2063 planer has a work area of ​​6.3m×20m. For medium and small workpieces, it It can be clamped several times on the workbench, and it can be planed with several planing knives at the same time, and the productivity is relatively high. The planer is made by direct reciprocating motion (cutting) of the table and intermittent movement (feeding motion) of the planer. According to different structural forms, the planer is divided into a single-arm planer and a double-arm gantry. There are two types of planers.


The planer mainly processes large workpieces or processes multiple workpieces at the same time. Compared with the bullhead planer, from the structural point of view, its shape is large, the structure is complex, and the rigidity is good. From the perspective of machine tool movement, the main motion of the planer is the linear reciprocating motion of the table, and the feed motion is the transverse direction of the planer or Vertical intermittent movement, which is just the opposite of the movement of the planer. The gantry planer is driven by a DC motor and can be steplessly regulated for smooth motion. All tool holders of the planer can be moved horizontally and vertically. The planer is mainly used to machine large planes, especially long and narrow planes. Generally, the width of the workpiece can be up to 1 meter and the length is more than 3 meters. The main parameter of the planer is the maximum planing width.


The tool holder on the beam of the planer can be used for lateral feed movement on the beam guide to plan the horizontal plane of the workpiece; the side tool holder on the column can be vertically fed along the column guide to plan the vertical plane. The tool holder can also be deflected at an angle to plan the bevel. The beam can be raised and lowered along the column rail to adjust the relative position of the tool and the workpiece. The planer is mainly used for processing planes or grooves on large parts, or for processing multiple medium-sized parts at the same time, especially for the processing of narrow and long planes. The workpiece on the planer is generally pressed with a platen bolt. On the planer, there is a complex electrical equipment and route system, and the movement of the worktable can be steplessly regulated.
