Perfect replica! 500,000 Lego spelled out a Vatican

As we all know, Lego bricks are not just children's toys. Its splicability determines that people can use it to create many seemingly impossible masterpieces, such as realistic spaceships, game artifacts and even the Vatican. Yes, I said It is the holy place of the Holy See, the Vatican. At present, a Vatican model built with 500,000 LEGO bricks is being displayed at Franklin College in Philadelphia, USA. It is understood that this is a precious gift for the Pope's upcoming visit. So what is the Vatican completely made up of Lego bricks?

Larry Dubinski, Chairman and CEO of Franklin College, said: "This is simply amazing, and people have to feel awe."
It is understood that a pastor named Bob Simon spent about 10 months building a small St. Peter's Basilica, which cost a total of 500,000 Lego bricks . His architectural feats included the Lego Pope's balcony overlooking St. Peter's Square, which alone cost nearly 44,000 cobblestone Lego blocks.
Not only that, but we can also see a lot of colorful people standing in the square, which consists of a nun with a selfie stick and a statue of Simon with glasses. The Lego Vatican has an area of 14 x 6 feet and weighs about 100 pounds.
Bob Simon himself said: "This is a very patient project. When everything is formed, I am really excited." He told us, "I built the model of the Roman Catholic Church headquarters in the seventh grade. But it wasn't Lego bricks at the time." Today, he is a pastor at St. Catherine's Church in Pennsylvania and has been to the Vatican five times.
To create this Lego model, Bob Simon used the cover of a book as a reference. The hardest part is making the top of the circular church, which is very difficult because the blocks are square. Although he also looked for a solution by watching the video on YouTube, he said: "I don't understand what I saw."
"I am really not good at math, so I am worried that something will go wrong." Still, he finally persisted and used the Lego lifebuoy to copy the windows at the top of the church. Bob Simon crafted the various shapes in the model without even using glue.
Denise Brownnell from Phoenix said after seeing this model: "This is really a perfect replica, it's awesome."
A year ago, Bob Simon started this great project in an empty house in his parish, and after completing it, he attended a Lego conference near Washington and received many honors. A friend suggested that Franklin College might be interested in it.
This Lego Vatican will be exhibited at the "Lego Sculpture Exhibition" and "The Vatican's Glory", although we are not sure if the Pope has plans to look at the model, but Simon himself is very hopeful to see the Pope himself because he will Join the mass on the 27th.
