Objective: To establish standardized operating procedures for the SW-CJ-1F medical purification workbench, ensuring aseptic conditions and maintaining the integrity of experimental results. Scope of Application: This procedure applies to all aseptic operations conducted within the SW-CJ-1F medical purification workbench. Responsibility for implementation lies with the hygiene inspection laboratory. Content: I. Overview: The SW-CJ-1F medical purification workbench is a critical piece of equipment used in aseptic procedures such as microbial culture and hygiene testing. It ensures a controlled environment that minimizes contamination risks during sensitive experiments. II. Operating Procedures: 1. Before each use, inspect the workbench thoroughly. Check all performance aspects, including power supply and voltage stability. Clean the workbench surface using 75% alcohol to ensure a sterile working area. 2. Place all necessary instruments and materials inside the workbench. Turn on the main power supply, then switch off the ventilation and general lighting. Activate the UV lamp for 30 minutes to sterilize the workspace. 3. After UV sterilization, turn off the UV lamp and switch on the illumination. Adjust the fan speed to an appropriate level and wait for at least 30 minutes to allow any residual ozone to dissipate before starting work. 4. Wear a lab coat, mask, and cap. Disinfect hands and wrists with 75% alcohol before entering the workbench area. 5. Light the alcohol lamp. Avoid overcrowding the workbench. Ensure all tools like pipettes, test tubes, and culture bottles are pre-sterilized before use. 6. When opening containers, avoid overheating to prevent dust contamination. Pass the bottle or test tube mouth through the flame to minimize microbial exposure. Sterilize forceps by flaming before use. 7. Maintain a horizontal airflow within the workbench and keep the bottle opening away from direct air flow as much as possible. 8. Do not reuse the same pipette or dropper across different cell lines to prevent cross-contamination. Keep the pipette tip about 0.5 cm above the culture vessel to avoid contact with the opening. 9. Immediately wipe up any liquid spills on the workbench or culture vessels using an alcohol-soaked cotton ball. 10. After completing the experiment, clean the workbench thoroughly and ensure no residue remains. Turn off all electrical devices, including ventilation and lighting. Remove all waste materials before leaving the room. III. Cleaning and Maintenance Procedures: 1. After each aseptic experiment, dispose of waste according to its type. Discarded cultures should be autoclaved at 121°C for 15 minutes. Experimental items should be soaked in a 5% sodium hypochlorite solution for 24 hours, then rinsed and removed. 2. Replace the HEPA filter annually. If the filter becomes heavily clogged, consider replacing it sooner to maintain optimal performance and air quality. This standard operating procedure ensures consistent and safe operation of the SW-CJ-1F medical purification workbench, promoting accurate and reliable experimental outcomes while safeguarding the health of personnel and the integrity of the work environment.
