The Haozhuang (LNB) brand freeze dryer manufactured and developed by Shanghai Haozhuang Instrument Co., Ltd. preserves bacteria, fungi and other microbial strains, and the laboratory often uses the ampoule sealing method. The sample was freeze-dried and packaged in small ampoules. It has the advantages of long storage period, small variation, convenient for large-scale storage and wide application range. FD-1E is a T-shaped multi-manifold freeze dryer, suitable for ampoules.

Shanghai Haozhuang teaches you how to operate the freeze dryer correctly, as follows:

Boot operation:

1. Turn on the power cord, and then check whether the main power indicator is flashing. The flashing indicates that the power is on.

2. Press the "Total Power" switch for three seconds, at this time the "Cold Trap Temperature" display window starts to display the cold trap temperature, and release this key.

3. Press the “Refrigerator” key, the refrigerator starts to run, and the temperature of the cold trap gradually decreases. In order to allow the cold trap to fully absorb water, the pre-cooling time should be no less than 30 minutes.

4. Press the "Vacuum Gauge" key, the vacuum digital display is "110" and the "103" indicator lights.

5. After the pre-cooling, place the prepared items in the drying tray, cover the plexiglass tube, and tighten the inflation valve and the drain valve (located on the right panel) clockwise.

6. Press the "vacuum pump" key, the vacuum pump starts to work, the digital display drops below 20Pa, and the freeze-drying process begins. Note: When the vacuum pump starts to work, press down the plexiglass cover for a while to facilitate sealing.

7. For the multi-manifold type, the rubber valve should be closed first (the spool length should be upward), and when the vacuum reaches 20Pa or less, insert the pre-frozen bottle into the lower port of the rubber valve and rotate the plastic spool downward by 180 degree. Note: At this time, the indication of the vacuum gauge will rise. When the vacuum reaches 20Pa or less, refill the next bottle.

Shutdown operation:

1. First, slowly (must be slow, otherwise the oil in the vacuum pump will suck back), open the "inflation valve", and press the power switch of the "vacuum pump" at the same time, so that the air slowly enters the cold trap. If you need to fill with inert gas, connect the decompression pipe of inert gas to the "inflation port", and then slowly open the "inflation valve", so that the inert gas slowly enters the cold trap.

2. Press the "Vacuum Meter" and "Refrigerator" switches in turn to turn off. At this time, the indicator light is off, and the "total power supply" key is turned on. When the power is turned on for three seconds, there is no display and then release this key.

3. Lift the plexiglass cover, take out the items, store them, and the freeze-drying process ends.

4. After the ice in the cold trap turns into water, open the "drain valve" to drain the water.

5. Clean up the water and impurities in the cold trap, and maintain the equipment properly.

6. When the vacuum pump is not in use, cover the spout to prevent dirt from entering

7. For multi-manifold type, close the rubber valves one by one and remove the lyophilized bottle before repeating the shutdown operation.

Note: Do not switch frequently during the operation. If the refrigerator is stopped due to an operation error, it cannot be started immediately. Wait at least 20 minutes before restarting to avoid damage to the refrigerator. After freeze-drying each time, after the ice on the cold trap coil turns into water, clean it with a towel and freeze-drying. After turning on the "inflation valve" to inflate the cold trap, it must be slow to avoid damaging the vacuum gauge.
