The inferior products undoubtedly caused damages to the production enterprises, but also added some undue annoyances. In recent years, the author has devoted himself to the research of starch adhesives, and has drawn the conclusions of the best practices for the use of cardboard lines, handkerchiefs, and automatic veneers.
First, adhesives for corrugated cardboard lines
A, raw and auxiliary ratio: 1 carrier: water 150kg; starch 25kg; caustic soda 45kg. 2 Main body: water 400kg; starch 100kg; borax 35kg.
B, production methods: 1 first carrier, first put the starch in the iron binder production equipment into the clean water, and then open the stirrer, add starch to be fully hydrolyzed (about 10min), slowly adding dilute caustic soda solution (Alkaline:water=1:9) Stir for about 20 minutes, and use a wooden stick to pick up the mother liquor to free fall and draw no more than 10 cm. The above adhesive is suitable for paperboard lines. Double-sided gluing machine is suitable for the speed between 60 ~ 150m. The adhesive viscosity of single-sided machine should be controlled between 35 ~ 40s, the viscosity is too high to affect the speed, too low viscosity, cardboard bad adhesion. In the binder production process must pay attention to the stirring time and stirrer speed, generally should not exceed 25min, the mother liquor stirring speed 260 ~ 300 rev / min, the main stirring speed 200 ~ 260 rev / min best. Do not allow the amount of mother liquor to exceed 1/1 of the body's amount of glue, otherwise it will affect the speed and product quality. 
Second, hand-glue adhesive production
A, ratio: 1 water 250kg; 2 starch 50kg; 3 times less sodium chlorate 9kg; 4 pieces of alkali 7kg; 5 borax 25kg; 6 defoamer amount. 
B. Production Method: Add the clean water to the tin and pour the starch into the starch. Add the sodium hypochlorite starch adhesive in turn after 5 minutes of power-on stirring. B. Production Method: Add clean water to the tin and pour the starch into the starch. Add 5 ml of sodium hypochlorite and caustic soda solution after stirring for 5 minutes. Add borax with good boiled water to continue stirring for 10 min. Finally add defoamer. The foam can be used after it is withdrawn. 
Note that in the production process, when there are many foams and liquid spills, appropriate anti-foaming agents should be added as appropriate. The viscosity should be controlled within 30 ~ 35s. This adhesive can also be used in the bonding of carton-free cartons, but it cannot be used for laminating, UV-glazing cases. 
Third, the production of automatic veneer adhesive
A, ratio: 1 water 250kg; 2 starch 50kg; 3 hydrogen peroxide 25kg; 4 ferrous sulfate 120g; 5 tablets of alkali 5kg; 6 sodium thiosulfate 075kg; 7 borax 25kg; 8 antifoamer amount. 
B. Production Method: 
Add clean water to the tin can and pour it into starch. After the starch is completely hydrolyzed by the start-up stirring, add hydrogen peroxide, ferrous sulfate, and caustic soda solution in order. After the reaction is completed, add a yellow liquid and then add sodium thiosulfate, stir, and then add it. The boiled boiled water is continuously stirred for 10 minutes. Finally, defoamer is added, and the foam can be used after it has receded. 
Note that the adhesive viscosity should be controlled between 25 and 30 seconds, otherwise the automatic veneer machine will either throw off glue when it works or it will not adhere well. 
The above three adhesives all use corn starch during production. The quality of the used water should not be too hard. Excipients and ingredients must be tested to meet the standards before they can be used. Otherwise, they should be added or subtracted as appropriate. 
